Introduction
The combined prestige of the partner Universities provides the background for a Postgraduate School whose focus is on creating an international centre for advanced postgraduate education in Engineering, Applied Sciences and Mathematics. Members have access to the pooled resources of the Universities via the Joint Research Institutes and the ruling body of the Edinburgh Research Partnership. Strong leadership and direction will be provided the the Directors of Postgraduate Studies at each University, who will help oversee Prize Studentships, a prestigious competitive award, and initiate postgraduate programmes and activities that will enhance the degree experience.
