In this talk, we examine the performance of MIMO systems under correlated fading. Contrary to common views, we show that antenna correlation can be beneficial for multi-user MIMO channels with either power or rate constraints. Both asymptotic analyses and numerical results indicate that antenna correlation can provide a significant performance gain in such environments.
